TOMOS

“It is a lifelong passion not just a job!”

This is the feeling of the owners Sandro and Roberto and their entire staff, including external partners.

Forward-looking experience

Since 1976 specialization and technological innovation have been the guiding principles of our working method, allowing us to grow dynamically, efficiently and reliably. We are well experienced in foundry processes and product engineering.
Thanks to the skills and know-how gained in both fields, we are among Italy’s few specialists to have an overall vision of our business – an asset that allows us to foresee critical situations and therefore find the right solution to apply.

A team
you can ask for more

We are professionals born and raised in a sector that demands our commitment and dedication.
But it also requires us to be open to deal with any kind of problem, to learn from our successes and from our (luckily few) mistakes, and to improve training, increasingly linked to the progress of machines and software. Today our team is a balanced mix of young people and seasoned professionals – all equally passionate, motivated, and ready to give your project their all.

History

We design and manufacture
performing solutions since 1976

From a small workshop to a modern,
competitive, and international enterprise,
we have come a long way.
And there is still a long road ahead of us…
The journey continues…

  • 1976

Tomos is born as a workshop in the province of Brescia whose main activity is the manufacture of moulds for aluminium die casting.

    1979

Roberto Martina joins the company in the toolshop. He leaves it in 1981 to gain different experiences, still remaining in the field of aluminium die casting.

    1987

We are among the first companies to use CAD/CAM software to manage production in accordance with high standards of efficiency and precision.

  • 1991

We move to another location to get more space and react to the increasing market demand.

    2000

The upward trend continues. We move again, to an area more suitable for reorganizing our activity.

    2006

We acquire ISO 9001:2000 certification, confirming the attention given to quality as a corporate management system.

  • 2011

Roberto Martina and Sandro Salanti purchase Tomos. The new partners drive the company to a new important technological turning point.

    2012

One of the first technological changing steps are the purchase of a 5-axis milling machine and the implementation of Tebis CAM software.

    2014

Our machine park is enriched with a highly efficient automatic lathe, a new milling machine, and a boring machine.

  • 2016

We further expand our production capacity with three 5-axis machines - two small (for graphite electrodes) and one large.

    2017

We are preparing to acquire new ISO 9001:2015 Quality Certification. In the meantime, we are implementing a MES to increase efficiency, control, and company productivity.

    2019

We obtain the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate with DEKRA and we install two new CNC machines, expanding our working field to 1850 x 1600 x 900.

  • FUTURE

Our modus operandi hinges upon technological evolution. We look to the future to consolidate our achievements and to increasingly broaden our horizons.
